Terms and conditions

This is an English translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Romanian version prevails.
1. About us
The Cai Borșa website is run by ROMAN DAIANA-MĂDĂLINA ÎNTREPRINDERE INDIVIDUALĂ (a Romanian sole proprietorship), based in Borșa, Maramureș County, Romania. Full identification and contact details are shown on this page.
By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the site.
2. What we offer
Through this website we present our activities in Borșa, Maramureș: riding lessons for adults and children, mountain trail rides, horse-drawn carriage rides, as well as photo sessions and taking part in events. All activities are by appointment only.
This is a presentation website: no online payments are made and no contracts are concluded directly on the site.
3. Quote requests and bookings
- The form on the site writes a message that you send via WhatsApp or email. Sending the message does not mean your booking is confirmed.
- A booking is confirmed only after we reply and we agree together on the activity, date, time, number of participants and price.
- Prices for riding lessons, trail rides and carriage rides are shown on the site, in Romanian lei (RON). For photo sessions, weddings and other events we send you a personalised quote.
- Payment, cancellation and rescheduling terms are given together with the quote, before the booking is confirmed.
4. Weather and safety
Activities take place outdoors, in the mountains. We reserve the right to postpone, shorten or change the route of an activity when the weather, the state of the roads or the condition of the horses would put the safety of participants or animals at risk. In such cases, we will offer you another date.
5. Rules for participants
Riding and activities with animals carry inherent risks. For everyone’s safety:
- participants follow the instructions of the instructor and the guide, including those about protective equipment and behaviour around horses;
- minors take part only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who tells us their age and experience;
- please tell us before the activity if you have a health issue or limitation that could affect your safety on horseback;
- we may refuse participation to anyone under the influence of alcohol or other substances, or who puts their own safety, that of others or that of the horses at risk.
6. Website content
- Texts, photos, videos and illustrations (including the character Scarto) belong to Cai Borșa or are used with the authors’ consent. They may not be copied or used commercially without our written consent.
- The reviews shown come from our Google profile and belong to their authors. They are quoted exactly as written; English translations are our own and are clearly marked.
- The articles in “Scarto’s Guide” are for information only and list the sources used. They do not replace guidance from your instructor.
We do our best to keep the information on the site accurate and up to date, but it may contain errors or become outdated. The details confirmed when you book always take precedence.
7. Links to other websites
The site contains links to external services (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Google Maps). We are not responsible for the content or policies of those websites.
8. Personal data
How we process your data is described in our Privacy policy, and our use of cookies in the Cookie policy.
9. Complaints and dispute resolution
If you are unhappy with anything, write to us at madaroman55@yahoo.com or call us on +40 757 828 173. We try to resolve any issue amicably.
As a consumer, you can also contact the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) at anpc.ro, including through the alternative dispute resolution (SAL) procedure at reclamatiisal.anpc.ro.
Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably fall under the jurisdiction of the Romanian courts.
10. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by Romanian law. We may update them at any time. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
